But we do have a couple of ticket give aways and events to announce, and also wanted to remind you that we are still taking pre-orders with super low sales prices for several anticipated releases, all listed down below.

Keigo Oyamada (a/k/a Cornelius) returns to NYC's Webster Hall on Saturday, January 26. The two winners will be notified by Monday, January 21st.

  BLACK MOUNTAIN
In the Future
(Jagjaguwar)

Psychedelic prog shamans Black Mountain return on January 22nd with In the Future, blending longer, Pink Floyd-informed excursions with shorter folk-pop songs. The hazy hashish vibe of old is still intact but the band proves that they're more than just a one stoner pony. Available as a double LP and a limited deluxe 2xCD format, with three extra tracks!

  TIMES NEW VIKING
Rip It Off
(Matador)

Columbus-based DIY art punks Times New Viking release their first album for Matador (after two killer records on Siltbreeze) on January 22. Sixteen short, sharp bursts of lo-fi pop that reminds of everything from early Pavement and Guided by Voices, as well as UK post-punkers Swell Maps and Desperate Bicycles. 180 gram vinyl version.

  VAMPIRE WEEKEND
Vampire Weekend
(XL)

Possibly the most anticipated debut of 2008 drops as early as January 29! Combining influences including African highlife, Paul Simon's Graceland, ska, and indie pop, Vampire Weekend broke bigtime with their self-released EP last year and the full-length will do nothing but cement their reputation as THE band to watch.
